Thank you Amazon for the picture

“A thief is a lot like a wizard. I have quick hands. And I can make things disappear. But then I stole the wizard’s locus magicalicus and nearly disappeared myself forever.

It was a late night in the Twilight, black-dark as the inside of a burglar’s bag. The streets were deserted. A sooty fog crept up from the river, and the alleyways echoed with shadows. Around me I felt the city, echoing and empty, desolate and dead.

I found another great book for sharing. The Magic Thief written by Sarah Prineas. Well O.K. you don’t have to share it if you don’t want to, but if you do then this is the one to share.

Conn should have dropped dead the day he picked Nevery’s pocket and touched the wizard’s locus magicalicus, a stone used to focus magic and work spells. But for some reason he did not. Nevery finds that interesting, and he takes Conn as his apprentice on the provision that the boy find a locus stone of his own. But Conn has little time to search for his stone between wizard lessons and helping Nevery discover who—or what—is stealing the city of Wellmet’s magic.

Prineas has done a wonderful job with this children’s fantasy; she has managed to pull the readers into the story and she has written it so that you won’t want to put it down. This is a great summer read and will probably be a marathon read as well; this means that there will be a lot of reading under the sheets after lights out.

Happy Reading

Sarah
