I found a new book to read, so what else is new right. Well this one is awesome, it’s funny, it takes no more than 5 minutes to read and it’s not for anyone who is easily offended. The Gashlycrumb Tinies: Or, After the Outing written by Edward Gorey.
Mom never taught you the alphabet like this; Gorey’s little book is full of macabre humor, but it’s the darkly crosshatched drawings that are the soul of the book. Again if you are not a fan of the morbid, or you are easily offended by dark humor then avoid this book otherwise it’s a light read that will keep you laughing. This is also not suitable for children, so if you do not want to deal with nightmares please do not read it to them or give it as a gift.
