Tim Gunn Unplugged

Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune did an extensive interview with Tim Gunn of “Project Runway” and “Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style” last week.

If you’re a “Project Runway” fan, it’s worth reading Tim’s take about the move to Los Angeles, the loss of the show’s original producers and rumors of an all-star “Project Runway” edition.

Some highlights:

On the move to L.A.:

“Here’s the good news about going to L.A. — we’ll have a whole new physical context,” he added. “We have lots of new opportunities opened up to us in terms of challenges and guests and locations for challenges.

On some things written about him in the press:

“There have been many things written about me in what I would consider to be fairly credible places that have been absolute, bald-faced fiction, including someone reporting on a conversation that never happened.

On the final Bravo season contestants:

“The final 25 [possible contestants] were shared with me and I just said, pick randomly,” Gunn said. “I had complete confidence in the quality of their work.”
