Whoopi Goldberg vs. Denise Richards
Last week on “The View” Whoopi Goldberg put guest Denise Richards on the spot when she asked about her new reality TV show, “It’s Complicated.”
Denise has been on a publicity blitz for the show and considering she’s had a lot of bad press the last couple of years—accusations of stealing “best friend” Heather Locklear’s husband, Ritchie Sambora, her very ugly divorce from a guy with his own press problems, Charlie Sheen—it was only to be expected that a lot of uncomfortable questions would come up.
The problem came when Whoopi asked Denise if doing a reality TV show about your every day life, including your kids was really the way to go considering how Denise has complained in the past about the press invading her privacy. Was it fair for Denise to put her kids on display in the show?
Denise’s response wasn’t very well thought out because basically she said there are all kinds of other reality shows with kids in them, so what was the problem? Then she fell back on what all parents say when put on the spot about what they’re allowing their kids do: if the kids object and don’t want to do it anymore, she’ll keep them off the show.
When Whoopi pressed her on the issue, Denise got flustered and even a little snippy, asking Whoopi if she had even seen the show. She seemed surprised when Whoopi said she had.
Elizabeth Snead at The Dish Rag had this to say:
Good for you, Whoopi. Denise saying she wants to keep her life, and her 4- and 2-year-old daughters’ lives, private and then putting them on her reality show is psycho-crazy.
To be fair, later in a local New York news interview, Denise cleaned up her answer and said her kids weren’t in the show very much and that as a single Mom, she needed to earn a living and this show was part of that. She also pointed out that Charlie doesn’t get nearly as much heat in the press as she does. On that she and I agree. However it was refreshing for once to see a guest forced to answer a question that was asked.

Denise Richards is a beautiful woman with a potty mouth. She has a fake nervous laugh, and seems very insecure and angry. She tries to come across as a “nice” girl, but can’t pull it off. She needs people around her that “feed” her ego, and never disagree with her. Her filthy mouth shows her lack of talent and UNintelligence.
What she did to Heather Locklear is unspeakable whether they were still friends or not. I haven’t heard Heather out talking about her. Denise is desperate for a man and attention. Heather was the victim, and Denise is still trashing her.
The poor choices she has made in her life has what’s gotten her to this point of negativity. She has done it to herself.
If she cared about her reputation, she shouldn’t be a buddy f**ker, and a tramp!!

Okay, so I’m thinking you don’t like her, right?
But seriously, Denise Richards has definitely got some public relations problems and I doubt this reality show is going to help solve those.
