Marissa’s History On “Dancing With The Stars”
Marissa Jaret Winokur got dumped from “Dancing with the Stars” this week. Even though I was routing for her to win, I kinda knew that was too good to happen. I’m pretty certain she would have gotten even further if Cristian wasn’t getting a partial sympathy vote because he ripped his arm apart and continues to dance pretty well anyway. Maybe Marissa should have considered breaking a hip and dancing with crutches.
She went out the same way she competed, with charm and sparkle. And she showed what a plus size lady can do on a ballroom dance stage if given the chance. She was alternately sexy, funny, sultry and perky depending on what the dance called for, and I’ll bet she inspired many a plus size lady out there to sign up for dance lessons and give it a try.
So Marissa’s gone but not forgotten. She and Tony Dovolani made me smile more than once, and for that they’re real winners.
