The WB Hits The Internet
Warner Bros. Television announced this week that the WB, you know, the fifth TV network that introduced the world to “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Felicity, and “Gilmore Girls,” among other shows, is going to launch as a website. The site will showcase original, short TV productions as well as reruns of, among other shows,”Buffy,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “Smallville.”
According to an article in yesterday’s New York Times:
Episodes of other Warner productions, most notably “Friends” and “The O.C.,” will also be streamed online.
Along with archived shows, Warner hopes to attract users with made-for-Internet video series, including ones headed by McG, who is best known for directing the “Charlie’s Angels” films and whose real name is Joseph McGinty Nichol, and Josh Schwartz, the executive producer of “The O.C.” and “Gossip Girl.”
So, just like I pointed out in my post on Veoh the other day, a whole bunch of your current favorite, or past favorite TV shows will soon be arriving to a computer near you.
