Feministing On YouTube: A Message For Dr. Laura
The feminist website, Feministing has a channel on YouTube and one of their weekly features is a Friday Feminist F*ck You.
Last Friday’s very appropriate FFFY was directed at Dr. Laura Schlessinger. That’s because during that whole Eliot Spitzer prostitution mess Dr. Laura came out and said that if a man cheats on his wife, it’s the wife’s fault. You heard me. That’s what she said.
And she didn’t mean, oh, if there are problems in the marriage, both people contributed, or usually if someone is looking outside the marriage, often there’s something going on that they should be dealing with directly with their partner, or that it takes two to tango.
No, what she said was, it’s the woman’s fault. Well Feministing had the following response:
