Don’t let your eyes fool you- yes, it says Chanel, but your dog may be snaking on it if you set it down. These items are all made of Beef Jerky. A design student named Nancy Wu decided to make use of the most disgusting food on earth and turn it into an object of luxury. I think she did a good job, because I want one and I hate Beef Jerky. I keep thinking of those Slim Jim commercials of a few years ago with a wresting dude with moobs wearing tights screaming “Snap into a Slim Jim”. I wonder if it goes bad.

British Designer, Gisele Gannes, has found an unusual niche in jewelry. She specializes in Divorce Jewelry. I like her collection , as you may already know- I’m a brass knuckle afficiando- you can see more on her site here
but what’s with the beaky birds? Is that a special significance, or is that to gauge out the ex’s eye?Either way, it works for me…
She also does mourning jewelry… by the way, is it wrong to knit scarfs from a deceased cats’ hair?My cats are still alive but, I’m saving hair from my cats to knit a teddy bear- I have about one grocery bag full of each cat… I need one more bag and then a Mr. Marmar teddy bear will be commissioned….. yes, I’m the neighborhood crazy cat lady and I’m only 31.

Fabuless Fashionista’s blog featured the strangest shoes ever and here are just a few. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find each shoes designer ( That may be a good thing -considering some are heinous), but here they are anyway. The first photo are painful looking and I hate feet (except for my kid’s feet) , so that just gross.I just don’t like the toes and in between the toes, etc.. and Yes, I have a problem. The second photo are “dog shoes”! I first looked at it and thought Narnia! Or Sarah Palin house slippers. The third photo looks like a sea urchin and could be of great use in a back alley brawl. The glass slipper is pretty cool, but imagine if it shatters on your foot. ouch…. And the last photo , is just fupe. It looks like you could poach eggs in it if you wanted.

File this under Ewww. I am a huge fan of corsets and have a collection of custom steel boned corsets (about 150 corsets) . But. this. is. going. too . far.
The “corsets” above are actually piercings on the back using hyperdermic needles or ring jewelry to create the “grommets” on a corset and then threaded with ribbons or lacing. Ouch! Piercings are okay, but in my opinion, too much is questionable in terms of health and safety. This is not hot.
This reminds me of London’s Torture Garden .

Portuguese designer, Luis Porem designed these ink- filled glasses called ‘rgb rainbow glasses’. You can change the color of the glasses as often as you wish with any color. I wonder if it leaks?? That would definitely burn the eyes! I don’t like this… The shape of the glasses are a little too nerdy , also the frames are too thick. I have thick black glasses, but they are pretty sleek compared to these. These glasses just need a Groucho Marx nose and mustache and you’re good to go. It sort of reminds me of those loopy straws. I loved those straws when I was kid! Those straws got me to drink milk.

Yunju Lee is the designer behind these conventional stains and marks translated into jewelry. The jewelry line includes a milk mustache (attached via a nose ring), lipstick on the collar, ink splats, leaky pen, ketchup stains and an iron burn. Slovenly chic is in! That’s good news for couch potatoes everywhere. I sort of like the lipstick stain, but would look better on a guy. The leaky pen looks cool , too… but something tells me people would tell you that you have a stain all day long. Annoying! The milk mustache nose ring looks damn silly! I give Yunju Lee credit for imagination, though….

I searched the internet for the designer of this masterpiece, but it was unfruitful. I wonder if the eggs break if you sit on it. I sort of assumed the same theory applies from that of the bed of nails (this link is so wrong in so many ways). Maybe not. Those hens must be soooo pissed . You know this belongs to the pimp hen. You know what would have been sweet? If they spray painted all the eggs gold! Ghetto Fabulous!!! I’m sure this costs like a million dollars, but what do you do with it after a week? I’m sure P.Diddy is ordering one right now.

File this under FUG. A designer from England , Walter Works, has decided to take everyday random junk items like pot scrubbers, old shoes, keyboards and the inside of a cassette to make clothing. I didn’t say fashionable clothing. The first photo is make from casette guts, the second, pot scubbers (copper would have been more elegant), the third , sneakers , and the last keyboards and wires (is that a pacifier?!)
This reminds me of the time when I made a purse out of a high heel. I sewed fabric around the top of the shoe and attached a red ribbon to the end of it as a strap.I wore this crap to a club one time and it doubled as weapon to keep gross guys away. But it also attracted other gross guys with shoe/foot fetishes. So, I gave that crap away to the Sal’s boutique (Salvation Army) when I moved. Somewhere in Providence , there is a homeless tramp with a shoe purse.
Anyfug, this proves that one man’s trash is still another man’s trash. But , I give Walter an A for effort. Like the same way , I give my young son an A for effort even though it’s completely hideous.

Famed Couture shoe maker , Christian Louboutin and filmmaker David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive)have collaborated for a show originally at Design Art London. The exhibition, which included Lynch’s photographs of the 5 limited edition shoes alongside the lovely fetishistic shoes themselves, moved now to Galerie du Passage in Paris until November 3. Hopefully, this show moves to the US for us to enjoy and appreciate. I will keep my eye out for it and let you know.
The shoes include a 26cms heel, spikes on the inside and sole of the shoe, and Siamese heels (two shoes fused at the heel) and a ballet shoe with a transparent sole ( my favorite!)

This is a Lunch box in the shape of the Food Pyramid. This should help as a guide to eating the correct amount of each food group. It was designed by Japanese designer, Li Jianye who obviously did not design this for the US market. With all the different diets, you’d think the food pyramid is obsolete. I think the key to eating healthy is eating a little bit of everything, and eating small portions more frequently throughout the day. By the way, where’s the compartment for Fish??!
