Fabuless Fashionista’s blog featured the strangest shoes ever and here are just a few. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find each shoes designer ( That may be a good thing -considering some are heinous), but here they are anyway. The first photo are painful looking and I hate feet (except for my kid’s feet) , so that just gross.I just don’t like the toes and in between the toes, etc.. and Yes, I have a problem. The second photo are “dog shoes”! I first looked at it and thought Narnia! Or Sarah Palin house slippers. The third photo looks like a sea urchin and could be of great use in a back alley brawl. The glass slipper is pretty cool, but imagine if it shatters on your foot. ouch…. And the last photo , is just fupe. It looks like you could poach eggs in it if you wanted.

British designer/ genius designed these Geisha platform shoes. These are cool only for photo shoots, anywhere else you would look silly. I had a pair of real Geisha platforms made for me in Kyoto, Japan during our honeymoon. They are super cool, but only for decoration purposes because they are so fragile.
So, Chinese foot binding comes to mind when I see Geisha shoes… click here for some honest to gross photos of some lady whose foot has been bound since birth. She’s old now, but her feet are the size of a cigarette pack or an Ipod. She walks with a cane (I wonder why!) and her feet are shaped in the same form of her shoes that are pointy and have a wedge heel. It looks like she needs to dip her feet in Calgon and get a foot massage- STAT!

Irregular Choice is one of my favorite shoe designers, I have several pairs of Irregular Choice shoes in my shoe collection. One of them is what I call my ‘camel toe heels’. I know, WTF is a ‘camel toe heel’?! Well, this masterpiece has a round toe but with a dent between the big toe and second toe, kinda like those Japanese socks. Click here if you have no idea what I mean. By the way, I can’t not think of the song, ‘Cameltoe‘ from ‘Fannypack’. If you haven’t heard it, make sure you’re near a toilet when you do because you’ll piss yourself laughing. Anycameltoe, Blythe teamed up with Irregular Choice to make a series of shoes with the wide-eyed doll featured on the shoe. I love it, but then again I love Dolls. I threw in an Emma Belle sweater for Irregular Choice. It has food like hamburgers, carrots and pizza on it. mmmm…

File this under FUG. A designer from England , Walter Works, has decided to take everyday random junk items like pot scrubbers, old shoes, keyboards and the inside of a cassette to make clothing. I didn’t say fashionable clothing. The first photo is make from casette guts, the second, pot scubbers (copper would have been more elegant), the third , sneakers , and the last keyboards and wires (is that a pacifier?!)
This reminds me of the time when I made a purse out of a high heel. I sewed fabric around the top of the shoe and attached a red ribbon to the end of it as a strap.I wore this crap to a club one time and it doubled as weapon to keep gross guys away. But it also attracted other gross guys with shoe/foot fetishes. So, I gave that crap away to the Sal’s boutique (Salvation Army) when I moved. Somewhere in Providence , there is a homeless tramp with a shoe purse.
Anyfug, this proves that one man’s trash is still another man’s trash. But , I give Walter an A for effort. Like the same way , I give my young son an A for effort even though it’s completely hideous.

Famed Couture shoe maker , Christian Louboutin and filmmaker David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive)have collaborated for a show originally at Design Art London. The exhibition, which included Lynch’s photographs of the 5 limited edition shoes alongside the lovely fetishistic shoes themselves, moved now to Galerie du Passage in Paris until November 3. Hopefully, this show moves to the US for us to enjoy and appreciate. I will keep my eye out for it and let you know.
The shoes include a 26cms heel, spikes on the inside and sole of the shoe, and Siamese heels (two shoes fused at the heel) and a ballet shoe with a transparent sole ( my favorite!)

Gwendolyn Huskens has designed shoes resembling medical shoes and prosthetics. I think they are damn cool! These ones are made of synthetic plaster, bandages and stainless steel. I personally love the thigh high boots! I love when fashion mingles with usually un-fashionable things. I bought this prosthetic looking arm bracelet from Patricia Field’s about 8 yeas ago. It is nude colored and it has a corset like ribbon up the side of it. Every time I wear it, people think I broke my arm! I find it hysterical… but then again I’m evil. When broke my ankle a few years ago, I had a hot pink cast put on and then I drew on a corset like lacing on the front of the foot and leg. It was rad! But having broken bones truly sucks. My ankle still aches when it’s cold or rainy out.

Madonna wore these Chanel shoes recently at an event. They are from the 2009 Cruise Collection. This goes in the Fish bowl platform category. I dig them, but there’s something off about it…..I can’t put my finger on it… but it does remind me of this lighter gun I picked up at Patricia Field’s about 6-7 years ago. It’s pink and covered in hot pink rhinestones… I don’t smoke , but I picked it up for photoshoot prop purposes. Going back to the shoes, I think they would be awesome if they were hot pink with rhinestones! But that’s the inner Liberace in me…. Imagine if someone wanted to beat you down, you could take off your shoe and point! But, then you really couldn’t run away….bummer, that’s a catch 22 . That crazy Karl!

Next time you are caught in the dark, just think of the wonders of this invention from Chanel. As you walk it lights up, sort of like those sneakers aimed at toddlers and preschoolers. Except these will set you back $2,200. Chanel featured this in their Spring 2009 collection. I personally, think these are fug. I love Chanel , but these are silly. These are great for Theater ushers and mine workers, not me. So, how many people does it take to change this light bulb??

When I saw these shoes, I thought they were cool… but then, I thought about wearing these out and flip flopping all of the place… not cool. High Tide Heels by Australian designer Lisa Carney Probably just good for a photo shoot or a Mariah Carey video. I’d take them in blue.

Marc Jacob’s mouse flats celebrate a decade of decadence by collaboration with the artist , Kaws. These lmited edition (only 200 pairs in the world) can be found at Marc Jacobs boutiques, Colette in Paris and OriginalFake in Tokyo. I like them but I prefer the sketched Marc Jacobs mouse flats. I got them in white. I had to get them because my nickname is Moosh and of course, Moosh means ‘mouse’ or ‘cute’ in Farsi. So it was a purchase of necessity- yeah, that’s it…..

Check out Tomoko Sawada’s exhibition at Colette in Paris November 3-29, 2008. Photos of the artist in the Harajuku style are on display. When I went to Japan for my honeymoon 5 years ago, I knew this look would take a while to catch on in the US. But , I guess it’s starting to trickle over here, finally. I have a few pieces by Shirley Temple Cute and Milk that I have been wearing here in the States and I feel like people don’t understand this look. I guess because it looks childish. But you know what , Fupe them! I love it! By the way, if you like Japanese style and you’re in Culver City, CA- Check out a cafè called Royal-T.
