Sebastian Errazuriz has designed the most awesome jacket ever! It’s a jacket made out of plush bears. I would wear this day and night, whilst I brush my teeth, make lunch, do the laundry , run errands… OMG I would even sleep in it! My son would approve and try to snatch one of the bears away. But I would just smile and say , ‘Mine!’
Anyway, I’m crazy about bears and other cuddly things….

Happy New year! I leave you with a cat and an icicle. May your year be filled with money, shoes and furry persian cats like this one… because that’s all that counts.

Indian designer ,Manish Arora deisgns are anything but ordinary. The clown inspired collection featured a carousel dress dress (thrid thumbnail) that Katy Perry wore to the 2008 MTV European Music Awards. I really like that dress although the others are a little fug. Visit his website for more stuff including a line of shoes with Adidas called ‘Fish Fry’. My favorite shoes are these. His newest collection is killer, too.

I love , love, love vintage clothing. I love, love, love Ebay. It’s a ‘danger zone’ for me along with TJ Maxx, Neiman Marcus and Cinnabons. But if I were to step into the Danger Zone, I would happily do it with VioletVille on Ebay. They specialize in vintage dresses from the 1930’s, 40s and 50s. I think clothes from those eras fit me better than today. Today , I can be a size 6 or a size 0 depending on what brand I’m wearing. I find that vintage clothes were made more for the petite woman and I fall helplessly into that category. According to my husband , I’m a shrimp. I don’t mind…. because I wouldn’t be able to wear vintage if I wasn’t a shrimp. Speaking of shrimp, I adore those cocktail dresses from the 1950s, especially the black ones with the pearls and bows. Back to VioletVille, check out their latest auctions and get carried away into an era of deviled eggs, cocktail dresses, and kitten heels.

It’s Christmas! And I leave you with photos of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Miami. I look forward every year to the Fashion Show and am amazed by all the work put into these skimpy, beautiful outfits. Of course, this show entices me to go into a Victoria’s Secret at the mall and realize that it is vastly different than what was shown on TV. I always like Victoria’s Secret but they should mass produce some of the showy outfits that are in their fashion shows. I don’t know where I would wear them , but would love to see some of them hanging in my closet!
Well, have a lovely holiday, give thanks, and regift !
xoxo,
roxy

I discovered Shana Logic about 5 years ago when they were just a small company on the Pixie Girl Presents website. Over the past few years, they have grown to include hundreds of unique, cute, handmade things ranging from arm warmers, ipod gear, to jewelry. Priced very reasonably, I have ordered from then several times and was more than satisfied with the products. They make great little gift items and are also adoptable to you. Monsters need love , too.

Irregular Choice is one of my favorite shoe designers, I have several pairs of Irregular Choice shoes in my shoe collection. One of them is what I call my ‘camel toe heels’. I know, WTF is a ‘camel toe heel’?! Well, this masterpiece has a round toe but with a dent between the big toe and second toe, kinda like those Japanese socks. Click here if you have no idea what I mean. By the way, I can’t not think of the song, ‘Cameltoe‘ from ‘Fannypack’. If you haven’t heard it, make sure you’re near a toilet when you do because you’ll piss yourself laughing. Anycameltoe, Blythe teamed up with Irregular Choice to make a series of shoes with the wide-eyed doll featured on the shoe. I love it, but then again I love Dolls. I threw in an Emma Belle sweater for Irregular Choice. It has food like hamburgers, carrots and pizza on it. mmmm…

Bettie Page Clothing has a wonderful line of attire without the stench of a grandmother’s attic! All pieces are brand new but and made in a retro - vintage style of the ’40’s and ’50s. The above are my favorite picks.I love that sailor look, it reminds me that cartoon “Bon Voyage” with Sylvester the cat and Tweety bird. Come to think of it, 50’s clothing can look cartoony sometimes. Like Betty-Boop. That’s not a bad thing in my book, but then again my world can be cartoonish in my mind sometimes. Yes, I need help. Anydelusion, Bettie Page Clothing has a boutique in Las Vegas (at the Planet Hollywood Resort/ The Shops at the Miracle Mile) and is available online. Prices range from $80- $200, not much to look like a Glamorous Pin-up from th ’50s.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac showed his Spring 3001 collection (yes, he’s already designed that far ahead) not with malnourished models , but with lego people! If that is not genius, I don’t know what is! Not only are the models lego people, but the audience is lego people, too! Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Tally are in the front row as lego people along with a lego devil. His collection was rock inspired with slogans like ’smells like teen spirit’ and ‘no fear no tears’ , as well as the union jack. The video, directed by Fabrice Pathier, was in conjunction with his latest collection. Here are a few photos from the none lego people fashion show (spring 2009):

The day after Thanksgiving is when I usually break out all the Christmas crap. We have a 7 ft. tall pink flocked Christmas tree that we decorate with naked Barbies, ostrich feathers, my baby mobile converted to ornaments, Rhinestone jewelry and of course, a crown fit for a king (not Burger king!) as the topper! (see below)Yes, it is a truly fupe Christmas tree but I LOVE it! Now I can add a DIY Munny ornament! So cool, for only $13. I can paint it, color it, rhine stone it, deco page it… whatever that suits my mood. For that handsome man in your life, you can get one of these cozy kidrobot sweaters retailing for $300. A little steep , but well worth the coolness factor.
Visit Kidrobot for more cool stuff.
