m. Clifford Designs, a handbag line to watch
Getting off the budget conscious road for a second, I want to tell you about a fabulous new handbag line that is on my watch list: m. Clifford Designs. I had the pleasure of meeting the designer Martha Clifford and her team last week at the BagTrends Arm Candy Party. In 2000, Martha left behind a successful catering business to pursue her original love – fashion. The result is a handbag collection that embodies clean silhouettes, minimal hardware, and keeps modern functionality in mind. While m. Clifford Designs isn’t a bargain basement find by any means, taking into account that the bags are made of fine Italian leather, lined in red sued (which I LOVE), and have custom hardware, the price tags are quite reasonable. The Terrell tote (as seen on What Not To Wear) is my personal favorite and I plan to add it to my online shop (not to mention my closet) next week. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect non-laptop, laptop bag and Terrell, with its wide opening (thank you! the zipper doesn’t just go side-to-side, but over both edges of the bag) and long and wide shape, is just right. Ladies, keep your eyes on this brand. I’m sure you’ll hear the name m. Clifford Design and see the bags on TV, in the seasons to come.
Happy Accessorizing!
