I’m so excited to be here to chat about what I know best and love - accessories. A quick bit about me so we can become more familiar. I’m a handbag addict and journalist who took her passion for fashion and turned it into a career. Yup. Would you believe nearly $100K on an education in proper journalism and media history, and I go into a career writing about bags?! Well, many laughed, but I’m the one smiling now. I’m the founder of www.BagTrends.comand regularly contribute or get quoted as an expert in magazine, websites and a few TV programs. So that’s my short and sweat story. I’m thrilled to be able to focus on all accessories for a change. Um where to begin?
Well, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the mind drifts to jewelry. Whether you want to give your significant other a hint or just love yourself - gosh I love doing that - this season it’s all about color and bold statements. Nothing like a pink tourmaline or yellow sapphire cocktail ring to really channel the inner diva. If money is no object (first of all call me - I can tell you what to spend it on!) Judith Ripka is the queen of cocktail rings and her newest Montana Ring is heaven. For those balling on a budget, costume jewelry is the way to go and what’s great is that you can do costume at $150 from Noir or under $10 from Target. The key is look for pops of color, unique shapes and sweat vintage accents like an antique gold setting.
