Not unlike Target, Payless ShoeSource also has a number of offerings from famous designers- Alice and Olivia, Abaete, Lela Rose, and Patricia Field. My current favorite piece from these collections is this sweet little clutch by Alice and Olivia:
Park Clutch
I love the subtle polka dots- the grey on a black background. They give this clutch flair without making it too gimmicky or too youthful. I also like the fact that this clutch is extra long, which means room for a real wallet if you please. Inside is a hot pink satin lining. I don’t quite know what it is, but I am all about bright linings. They add a bit of fun without making a bag an impractical color. It will also provide contrast which will make it much easier for you to see the individual contents of your bag.

Kristin Davis for Belk: A Pleasant Suprise

Lovers of Charlotte York rejoice! While I will always have a special place in my heart reserved for Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte’s closet is the one I’ve long wanted to raid. When celebrities come out with their own clothing lines, the past has taught us to be skeptical at best. But I believe Mrs. York McDougal Goldenblatt would approve of Kristin Davis’ new line for Belk department stores.
I recently stopped by Belk on my lunch hour to check out the collection. I was quite impressed with the quality of everything in the line: tops, dresses, handbags and shoes. The piece I was immediately drawn to was this skirt:
This is the kind of skirt that can take you from day to night, depending on what you pair with it. I would couple this skirt with a black sweater, or as shown with a white button down.
