I love everything about this dress. The perfect length- just above the knee. This makes it both appropriate enough to wear in front of co-workers (your own OR your husband’s), but short enough that it is not dowdy. The empire waistline is forgiving enough that you can indulge in that anniversary steak dinner or a few too many office sponsored cookies without feeling the need to hide your belly. Yet it is not so loose as to inspire rumors of an impending visit from the stork. And just check out the neckline:

I don’t think this would be so attractive on a curvy short mom with ample assets and round shoulders. I’m really much more inclined to a nice v-neck with 3/4 in sleeves.

I really think dress can work on a LOT of different body types. If you are worried about your shoulders, you can always add a shrug to the top.
