J. Crew simplifies weddings

I’m not a big fan of over-the-top wedding gowns; then again, I’m not a big fan of over the top anything, really. I think that clothing, even special occasion dresses, should be functional and easy to wear.
And also beautiful. Don’t forget that.
In the past decade, J. Crew has built a bridal line that is remarkable both for the elegance and simplicity of the gowns and for their incredibly reasonable prices. J. Crew also carries bridesmaids dresses that your friends just MIGHT not hate, and they now offer a designated wedding consultant to coordinate orders.
What more could a bride ask for?
J. Crew Island Eyelet dress, $395.00.

My wedding dress was from J Crew and I loved it. The simple beauty of the dress was exactly what I was looking for. And the best part - they were discontinuing the style so the dress was on final clearance for $80! The quality was undeniable and the dress was almost perfect right out of the box (though I had a tailor embellish the dress slightly with some buttons and an antique broach). I can’t link to their website, but you can see the dress here, http://flickr.com/photos/splendorly/2548642376
The bridesmaids’ dresses were also from J Crew and my attendants really liked the fabric and the classic styling. It was something they could wear forever.
