Fancy embracing this season’s lace trend ladies?

Then how about this very daring dress $143 from www.edressme.com

The top part reminds me of the top that Madonna wore in her Vogue video, and lets face it you would need to have great boobs like her to pull this one off, but if you’ve got it flaunt it girls!

The make it a little more modest and classy, wear with black tights underneath and keep you hair and make up simple, and jewellery to the minimum.

Want a butt like Kylie or JLO??

Posted by laura on Nov 18, 2008 in Shape wear

Well, your prayers have been answered in the form of ‘Wonderwear’ designed by the super hot (check out the photo ladies) king of underwear Andrew Christian!

Ok, ‘Wonderwear’ is basically a pair of knickers that lift the buttocks soley by the support seams in the knickers, sound too good to be true? Well let me tell you gals, it’s not!

I have just tried a pair myself, and believe me they feel great, my bum is my most hated body part, think flabby, saggy and cellulite covered (and i’m only 29, god help me!), so i was mightily impressed by how good the ‘Wonderwear’ made my butt feel, they really do feel as though they are really lifting your buttocks, making them feel firmer and tighter, like scaffolding for you bum, i felt like i had been working out in the gym for months…seriously!!

I am so excited about these i can’t wait to try out more of Andrew’s designs and will keep you updated on my research.

Ok, a little info about him…

Though Andrew has been producing contemporary collections of urban inspired menswear, swimwear, edgy tees, and accessories since its inception in 1997, it was Andrew’s innovative underwear designs that established the company as a force in the fashion world. Andrew’s designs can now be found in exclusive boutiques such as Kitson Men (Los Angeles), Fred Segal (Los Angeles), and Patricia Field (New York), to the “majors” including Harvey Nichols.

His designs have been featured in the likes of Harpers Bazaar, the Wall Street Journal, LA times, New York times, and on season 3 of Janice Dickinson’s Modelling agency.

And to top it all off ladies, there is currently a half price sale on the Andrew Christian online store which means that the ‘Wonderwear’ knickers are now only $22.50, so what more of a push do you need?!!

Simply stunning..

If you are happy to embrace the current bodycon trend, then about this for a Christmas party dress?

$135 from the Kate Moss range at Topshop, this dress is really simple yet stunning, although i think i would wear it with some opaque tights as i’m not really keen on showing the world my cellulite just yet!

You could also add a wide belt to cinch it in at the waist a little more and how about wearing with one of this seasons tux jacket’s.

Unique Chic

Posted by laura on Nov 15, 2008 in Jewellery

Ok gals, i would like to introduce you to www.katiekay.comwhich is a really cute little boutique that sells really unusual jewellery, bags, accessories and home decor.

When you enter the website, it’s kind of like opening your grandma’s treasure box of goodies as every piece has a real old antique feel about it, not the kind of jewellery that you will find in any old jewellery store, these pieces are unique.

One of the bracelet’s from the maximal art collection was recently featured as a top pick in Oprah’s ‘o’ magazine’s ’under $100 gift guide’.

This filigree ring is so pretty and only $18, and best of all, you can currently get free shipping on all orders, so maybe it’s time to start stocking up on those Christmas gifts ladies!

Katie also does ‘Handbag parties’ where she will come to your home, office, local bar etc and bring a truck load of bags for you to drool over (and hopefully buy!), such a great idea, especially for the holiday season as you could get a load of you gal pals over to your place, have a few drinks and get all of your gifts at the same time. For more info, just click onto the link at the bottom of the homepage titled ‘Handbags at home’.

Marc Jacobs goes old English

Posted by laura on Nov 13, 2008 in Uncategorized

The wonderful Marc Jacobs has paid tribute to old English style in the form of this very original and quirky little clutch bag, with a Rolls Royce front that has stud fastenings on the wheels.

Made of dark grey leather, this bag is pretty versatile colour wise as it will match pretty much any outfit.

I think this vintage looking bag is adorable and it’s the kind of bag that will still be appreciated in 40 years time.

It’s not cheap priced at £665, but just think of all the joy, usage and adoration from others that you will get out of it over the years!

Available from www.net-a-porter.com

Looking square?

Posted by laura on Nov 11, 2008 in Uncategorized

Geometric patterns were another key trend seen on the AW08 catwalks, so how about trying something a little different ladies, this dress would be lovely for work worn with a roll neck underneath or a thick cardigan and tights with boots, you could even try this season’s ankle boot trend to make it a real up to the minute outfit.

Note: The colours will be very flattering on brunettes, but could make blonde’s look a little washed out.

Step back in time…..

Posted by laura on Nov 10, 2008 in AW08 Trends

These flared cummerbund jeans are so flattering and very on trend as the 70’s look was seen in on lots of the AW08 catwalks, and i couldn’t be more pleased. i adore 70’s fashion as it was so feminine yet had a masculine feel to it, and flares elongated the legs and nipped in the waist, so step back in time, play that funky music and get stylish this season ladies.

These would be great for the office, and i think even if jeans are banned in your office, i don’t that anyone would really notice as these are just so smart. i also think that braces would work really well with this look.
