To add to the Thanksgiving table Inspiration here are ten of my favorite table vases that can look great all year round. I tried to choose vases that were more unique then your standard looking vases like number 5 is really cool and very different looking to me with the openness and curvilinear architecture. Number 7 you can hang from the ceiling which would look amazing when the light hits it. I also think number 9 is a really creative design and quite beautiful. I think all of them have their own character and appeal. I am going to say number 3 is my favorite and I can see myself purchasing this one for my home mainly because its neutral and I just love the texture and shape. Which one is your fave?

I have been wanting to do this top ten clock post for awhile now and I finally came across these 10 that I love. Clocks can be that perfect addition to your empty wall space whether it be modern, simple, coo coo, or elaborate. Not only do these wonderful clocks serve an artistic purpose they serve a functional purpose that has been around for centuries. I would have to say my favorite one is number 8. Which one is your favorite?

I am so excited about this post! As you can imagine trying to decide on just 10 pillow favorites was close to impossible so I started with over a 100 in my collection and made my way down to 50 and then I stopped at 30 because I just couldn’t take any more out. So Instead of top 10 this week you get a top 30! Aren’t they just fabulous? Which one is your favorite? I can’t decide.

Pendant lights can add so much more than light to your space. How many homes have you been to where there is no consideration for ceiling lights as if no one will notice because its not at eye level? Ceiling lights are definitely not as easy as tossing a pillow on the sofa but they are just as crucial to designing a space. I recommend hiring an electrician to install ceiling fixtures because it truly can take a professional to do it right and safely. So get out there and tell your friends and family or yourself to remove their home depot standard light that the contractor picked out and get something elegant and more up to date that fits their style and home. I know it can be a hassle but its oh so worth it! Here are some that I think are just fabulous and worth the install.

I had a lot of fun picking these top ten table lamp designs and I think its a pretty good collection. I want them all! I think my favorite though is number 3. I just love that green shade with the blue base and the design is timeless. I tried to pick different styles so you will see number 5, 6 and 8 are pretty modern and number 1 has an Asian flair to it where as number 7 is totally tropical. I even picked a funky one like number 9 and of course some traditional elegant ones like number 2, 3 & 4. So which one is your favorite?

It was very difficult to choose only ten rugs for this post. I wanted to provide a variety of companies so you can click on their links and see more of their wonderful designs. My favorite is number 6 and I am thinking about purchasing it for my home. It feels very tropical and Hawaii to me so I think it will work well for my Maui loft. Rugs can make or break a space so choose carefully. Consider the colors and patterns of your existing space and if you are designing a room from scratch a rug can be a great piece to start with. Bring out the colors and shapes for inspiration for furniture and decor.

A desk can be one of your most functional furniture pieces you own. (I practically live with mine.) Before purchasing a desk ask yourself what you will be using it for. Will it be a desk you use all day or is just something to write a letter on? Will you need storage and how big do you need it to be? All of these desks below are unique in beauty and functionality. The first desk is a great desk for people who work from home. It has a warm wood stain which will work well in any residential dwelling and it has great storage and a cutout for all your computer cords. The second mid century modern desk is glamorous and I like that the A frame legs let other people sit comfortably on all four sides. The third desk is great for small spaces and its super functional for the at home worker. It is designed by Marcel Wanders and he created a lid to cover and to hide your office clutter. Number 4 desk has great geometric lines and plentiful leg room. I love the unique design and the way the designer creates a beautiful balance between the front legs and the back. The fifth desk is great for the office or at home and it has beautiful clean lines and sleek storage compartments with cork lined trays. Number 6 is labeled as a dressing table but I think it would also look great as a desk for writing letters to your loved ones. The seventh desk has a bamboo strip top and teak legs. This desk is great for tropical and natural styled interiors. Number 8 can be used as a desk or a dining table and I love that the design is ornate and simple at the same time. Number 9 is super functional. This desk is designed to work with your daily work patterns. There are three cantilevered extensions that were added to the table which increases its surface space and usability. It can also be used for working closely with other people. This desk can look great in an office or residential setting. Like 8 number 10 desk can be used as a dining table as well. This piece seems very architectural to me and I like the designers use of material and form.

In my last post I suggested adding a screen into her space to fill in that empty area behind the media console so you can bring the TV closer to the sofa. Screens are so functional because they can create separate spaces like dressing rooms, or a bedroom in a living space. I live in a loft and the upstairs bedroom isn’t completely closed off I just have a railing and I think adding a couple of screens would make the space feel more private and I can close them during the day so I can get a better air flow up there. Some of the screens I have shown here are completely closed off or partially closed off so it gives you that feeling of separation without completely closing the area in. Which one is your favorite?
