Room by Color: Brown Offices
Tuesday, August 26th, 2008Choosing brown for the walls, furniture or decor in your home office can make it look more professional and sophisticated. Brown on the walls can be a hard color for most because of how dark it is but I think if you have plenty of light coming in and add certain elements like large light colored artwork (See image 2) that it wont seem as dark. If your completely opposed to painting your office dark brown then adding espresso stained furniture can also give it that sophisticated feel. If your one who needs at least some color in your space then blues, greens and yellows can look fabulous with chocolate brown tones.

I love brown but we have way too much in the living room thanks to my husband’s big leather couches. I have tried to minimize it with a touch of cream and lime green. It works for now
Love these brown offices.

Rachel,
You read my mind…we are in the process of picking the right brown color for our hallways..The problem with them is that there isn’t much light in there, but i still love the brown. Perhaps if we chose a lighter brown…ahh decisions…
Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning. It’s always nice to “see” a new face
