Weekend Leftovers…yum!

It was a busy, busy weekend for Hollywood’s A-listers, so here is recap of all the juicy gossip.

Paul Rudd hosted Saturday Night Live this week with an amazing performance from Beyonce. She also did a skit with a surprise appearance from her friend Justin Timberlake, who, let’s just say, kinda needs a tan (and stole the show).

How hilarious! Jennifer Aniston and Natalie Portman were on hand at the after party to celebrate with Paul and Justin.

TRL bid a bittersweet farewell to its 10-year run with a star-studded finale last night. Carson Daly played host to a bevy of performances from Beyonce, Kid Rock, Nelly, Snoop Dog, Backstreet Boys, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy, among others. Plenty of big music names also stopped by reminisce of the show that, for many, launched their careers - Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Good Charlotte, EminemHilary Duff wonder if she ran into Joel Madden? And it wouldn’t be TRL if there wasn’t a countdown involved. “…Baby One More Time” topped the Most Influential Videos, though Britney did not join the festivities.

Meanwhile, Miami was hot, hot, hot this weekend as the Angels descended upon the city. Fontainbleau celebrated its reopening with Kate HudsonParis HiltonMariah CareyHeidi Klum and Diddy. Gwyneth Paltrow mingled with Alex Rodriguez, who is reportedly dating Gwyn’s good pal Madonna

Saturday night the Angels hit the runway for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show as Usher performed. Amanda Bynes, Michelle Trachtenberg, Kim Kardashian, Robert Buckley, John Stamos, and Terrence Howard were among the many celebs in the audience. The show will broadcast Dec. 3 on CBS.

It’s Getting Ugly

Paula | Lindsay Lohan, TV | Thursday, 23 October 2008

Me-ow! Just when we thought LiLo would start behaving, rumbles of a possible feud escapes.

If you’ll recall, Lindsay Lohan was booked for a guest stint on “Ugly Betty” that spanned for six episodes of the new season. Now reports led by The New York Post’s Page Six claims that the remained of her scenes have been cut and scrapped. Her publicist corrects and confirms that Lindsay is now only appearing on four episodes.

As with any good gossip, the reasons as to why range from A to Z. One source insists a power struggle between the guest star and lead America Ferrera caused the fall-out, while another says the indecent behavior of LL and her entourage are at fault. A pal of Linds scoffs that America did not like her - was “mean” to her - and used her power to kick her off. Now, now…didn’t Mean Girls teach you two anything?

Wanted: Girlfriends

Paula | TV | Thursday, 09 October 2008

This whole Hef thing is starting to skeez me out.

Now it’s a well known fact Mr. Hugh Hefner likes to keep the company of more than one girlfriend at a time (I think it’s the secret to his long life). So when you lose some, you must win some.

Although the 82-year-old bachelor recently claimed that he was very much with his three blondes, it seems a lot can happen in two weeks. More specifically, Holly tells a paparazzo her relationship is kaput, Kendra is reportedly dating a pro-footballer, and Bridget will likely say “see ya later” to focus on her TV career.

I do feel for the old guy, especially when he reveals to E! Online that the reason for the mutual break-up with his leading lady was his low sperm count. Hef confessed that he wouldn’t be able to father a child with Holly or commit to marriage like she wanted to, so naturally the relationship deteriorated.

“If she says it’s over, it’s over,” he told E!. “But like I’ve said before, she is the love of my life, and I expected to spend the rest of my life with her.”

So what’s a professional playboy to do? Why, move onto younger and hotter things, of course.

The next victims are a pair of 19-year-old twins from Florida (pictured above). Creepy. Quote from Hef: ”They very much want to be girlfriends and now under the present circumstance, they probably will become my girlfriends.” Creepier.

What happened to getting over your exes first??

No More Girls?

Paula | TV | Thursday, 25 September 2008

One of my favorite shows to watch late at night is E!’s The Girls Next Door. Holly, Bridget, and Kendra are hilarious and entertaining to watch, but the main appeal for many is to see how classic playboy Hugh Hefner lives with multiple girlfriends.

Well, if recent speculation is true, the girls may not be next door for much longer. When reports surfaced that Hef and the girls have broken up, E! went straight to the source himself.

“The reality is the girls and I are all together,” Hef said. He does offer the fact that the relationships are “in transition” and goes on to say this:

“Are there going to be changes in the relationships, I’m sure there are going to be. I think that in the future, the girls are going to, in time, be dating others and moving out of the mansion, and when that happens we will not be keeping it a secret.”

Well, duh. Though Holly, the main girlfriend, is often saying onscreen that she’s trying to get Hef to marry her, she’s been rumored to be seeing magician Criss Angel (who supposedly dated Cameron Diaz). Hef denies it, but he better pop out that ring if he wants to keep his doe-eyed blonde.

The new season premieres on Oct. 5, and Hef says watch out for future spinoffs for his ladies!
