TV Talk
UPDATE: According to the president of ABC, Katherine Heigl is “absolutely staying” on Grey’s Anatomy despite her recent shenanigans and rumors. So, rest assured fans, there will be no fallout (yet).
Perhaps to keep Ms. Heigl’s pretty pucker shut, ABC counters her I-wasn’t-given-good-material-to-deserve-an-Emmy-nod with this statement: “There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that is going to on this season.” Hmm, does Izzie do something with the clinic Bailey put her in charge of? Does she have to decide between George and Alex? Do they kill her off with a brain tumor?? Tune in for the season premiere on Sept. 25.
Meanwhile, in other TV news…
Katie Holmes is doing a guest spot on ABC’s legal dramedy Eli Stone. The exec producer of the show worked with Katie during her Dawson’s Creek days (ahh those were the good ol’ days), and in his words “begged her” to do it. See if it’s any good on October 21st.
Wilmer Valderrama just announced that he is producing a comedy about what Young Hollywood is really like. Baby Dolls will be from the perspective of a female personal assistant to a celebrity and will be like hit show The Office. If you want to see Wilmer in front of the camera, the That 70’s Show actor will star in Fox’s new comedy The Emancipation of Ernesto.
Now, while I love summer and am already dreading Labor Day to roll around, a tiny part of me is excited for fall because: 1) Gossip Girl is back on Sept 1, 2) 90210 premieres a night later, 3) Private Practice finally returns Oct 1, 4) apple picking!
Hey, a girl’s gotta look forward to something. Tell me, what shows are you excited for?
